Due to unprecedented workloads we need to employ Butchers, Boners and Meat workers for seasonal or long-term positions.
To be successful, applicants will have:
- Previous Butchery or Boning experience.
- Ability to work in a cold environment
- Operate switching controls to direct and drop carcasses and meat cuts from supply rails to boning tables
- Cut meat to separate meat, fat and tissue from around bones
- Washes, scrape and trim foreign material and blood from meat
- Cuts sides and quarters of meat into standard meat cuts, such as rumps, flanks and shoulders, and removes internal fat, blood clots, bruises and other matter to prepare them for packing and marketing.
- Have good physical stamina
- Have a good work ethic.
- Be a team player.
- Be able to work unsupervised as required.
- Take pride in your work.
- Be able to show initiative and common sense.
- Show Health & Safety knowledge.
- Be able to produce work to a high standard.
- Sound communication skills.
- Have a good understanding of the English language.
