We’re looking for motivated, reliable, and proactive Intermediate and Junior Dairy Farm Workers to join our team on a well-structured, modern dairy operation near Waimate, Canterbury.
About the Farm
- Location: Near Waimate, South Canterbury
- Size: 570ha (including run-off)
- Dairy Shed: 60-bail rotary with cup removers
- Technology: Cows are equipped with Halter collars for efficient herd management
- Irrigation:
- 140ha pivot irrigation
- 120ha K-line irrigation
- Focused on sustainable, efficient dairy production with a strong team environment
The Roles
We have positions available for both Intermediate and Junior Dairy Farm Workers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily milking and herd health monitoring
- General farm maintenance and irrigation operation
- Assisting with feed management and pasture care
- Supporting calving and animal welfare
- Identifying and solving problems efficiently on the go
What We’re Looking For
- Intermediate position: At least 1-2 years’ dairy experience
- Junior position: Some practical farming background or genuine interest in the dairy sector
- Good problem-solving skills and initiative
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Reliable and punctual with an eye for detail
