We’re looking for motivated, reliable, and proactive Intermediate and Junior Dairy Farm Workers to join our team on a well-structured, modern dairy operation near Waimate, Canterbury.

About the Farm

  • Location: Near Waimate, South Canterbury
  • Size: 570ha (including run-off)
  • Dairy Shed: 60-bail rotary with cup removers
  • Technology: Cows are equipped with Halter collars for efficient herd management
  • Irrigation:
    • 140ha pivot irrigation
    • 120ha K-line irrigation
  • Focused on sustainable, efficient dairy production with a strong team environment

The Roles

We have positions available for both Intermediate and Junior Dairy Farm Workers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily milking and herd health monitoring
  • General farm maintenance and irrigation operation
  • Assisting with feed management and pasture care
  • Supporting calving and animal welfare
  • Identifying and solving problems efficiently on the go

What We’re Looking For

  • Intermediate position: At least 1-2 years’ dairy experience
  • Junior position: Some practical farming background or genuine interest in the dairy sector
  • Good problem-solving skills and initiative
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Reliable and punctual with an eye for detail
