They are on the hunt for a passionate and supportive 2IC to join their team!
About the Role
Our Client is looking for an experienced 2IC to support their current Farm Manager and team. The farm is currently milking 700 cross-bred cows, through a 50-stand rotary shed with an easy dairy system. The farm is primarily pasture-based with grain fed in the dairy.
This role will include tasks the areas of:
- Support the Farm Manger in the daily operations on farm
- Lead the dairy team when the Farm Manager is away
- Continually strive to improve time management and operational efficiencies.
- Daily operations such as milking, moving stock, fencing, feeding out, spraying and other
- Machinery operation.
- Farm repairs and maintenance.
- Work health and Safety.
About You
We are seeking experienced Dairy Farmers that possess:
- Qualifications – Tertiary qualification(s) in Agriculture or a related field is desired
- Extensive dairy industry experience (a minimum of 3 years).
- A commitment to ensure a safe workplace.
- Reliability, punctuality and also the ability to take responsibility.
- Good work ethic and positive attitude. We like big smiles, good yarns and to have a laugh!
- Leadership skills and is a team player.
- A love for cows as much as we do!
