We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Assistant Calf Rearer to join our team for the busy time in August, on their farm close to Ashburton. If you enjoy working outdoors, caring for animals, and being part of a hardworking team, this could be the perfect role for you.
Key Responsibilities:

Feeding and general care of calves

Monitoring calf health and reporting any concerns

Keeping pens and feeding equipment clean and hygienic

Assisting with disbudding and treatments as required

Supporting the calf rearing team with daily tasks
Requirements:

A genuine love for animals and farming

Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and in a team

Physically fit and comfortable working in all weather conditions

Previous experience with calves or on a dairy farm is a plus, but not essential—training can be provided
