Agricultural Field Rep

Seeking a driven and strong leader with knowledge and passion for the Agricultural Industry for Ashburton based Client.

Our Client has been established in the Agricultural industry for over 2 decades and searching for a strong leader who is a true team player capable of managing, coordinating and motivating teams in a variety of agricultural jobs. You will liaise with our client to ensure the job is tackled on time to a high standard and must be prepared to roll up your sleeves and get in amongst it when required. 

About the Role

Our Client has a range of agricultural work throughout Mid-Canterbury and the Ashburton area and is seeking a strong leader that enjoys and therefore knowledge of the agriculture sector, horticulture and farming will certainly put you over the advantage line.

On behalf of the Client, you will liaise with seed representatives, farmers and contractors at each of the work locations. You will establish the needs and requirements of each job and coordinate a team, ready for action! There is a strong element of on-site team training and ensuring their work is carried out to a very high quality and ensuring motivation and enthusiasm of the team never drops. We are looking for someone that keeps the team working well with smiles on their faces at a good speed. Daily record keeping and administration will be required and implementation and adherence to health and safety standards.

This position is on-going, with a wide variety of agricultural projects that swing from one season to the next.

  • Co-ordinate, supervise and train new and current field team members
  • Ensure every job is executed to an exceptionally high standard in record breaking time.
  • Liaise and build relationships with specialists, farmers and contractors


About You

You're confident in supervising and organizing a team through strong leadership skills, outstanding communication skills, and excellent attention to detail. You must be able to train, manage and motivate a diverse team.

It would be a definite advantage to have a farming, or agricultural background, although full training will be given to the right applicant.

  • Physically fit – manual work is involved
  • Full New Zealand driver's license
  • Will undergo Ministry of Justice check
  • Pass a compulsory pre-employment drug screening
